How Shall We Escape
A Welsh minister, beginning his sermon, leaned over the pulpit and said with a solemn air, "Friends, I have a question to ask. I cannot answer it. You cannot answer it. If an angel from heaven were here, he could not answer it. If a devil from hell were here, he could not answer it". Every eye was fixed on the speaker, who proceeded, "The question is this, How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation?" Heb 2:3
We Are All Lost, In Need Of A Savior
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Rom 3:23
We Have No Guarantee Of Tomorrow
"...For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away." ( James 4:14)
We are here today, with no guarantee of tomorrow. Today is the day of salvation.
We Will All Be Judged
We will all be judged one day before the throne of God. What we are when we die, is what we will be for eternity.
"He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still." Rev 22:11 What you do with Jesus in this lifetime is what He will do with you in eternity. Today is the day of salvation.
How Shall we escape?
You have read several testimonies of men and women who were once bound by sin but are now wonderously saved, delivered and set free by the blood of Jesus Christ. Today Christ is standing at the door of your heart knocking.
"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. (Rev 3:20)
God's Great Love
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
What Must I Do To Be Saved?
1. Repentance: To repent is to turn away from sin.
"I tell you, Nay: but except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." (Lk 13:3)
"...Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out. "(Acts 3:19)
2. Believe and Accept: Believe that Jesus Christ died for you, was buried and rose from the dead.
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Rom 10:9-10)
3.Through prayer, invite Jesus into your life as your Lord and Savior.
Dear God, I come before you feeling convicted of a life of sin. I've heard your word and I realize that I'm a sinner lost without you. I ask you now in the name of your son Jesus, to come into my heart and be the Lord of my life. Please teach me what it is to live for you and to forsake sin. From this day forward I give you my mind, my heart, my body and soul. Lord Jesus thank you for saving me and giving me a new life. Amen!
If you've prayed this prayer of faith and believed, you are now a born again Christian with a new life in Christ:
This is what you must do to sustain your new life:
1. Read your Bible (KJV) every day to get to know Jesus Christ in a deeper way.
2. Talk to God in prayer every day.
3. Seek to be filled with the Holy Ghost. Worship, fellowship and serve with other Christians in a church where Christ is preached and the Bible is
the final authority.
4. Tell others about Christ.
